Unlike some types of medical tests, there’s not much that has to be done before undergoing a diagnostic MRI. You could almost say there’s nothing to do. Even so, there are a few simple actions you’ll need to take before you’re ready for the Orlando diagnostic MRI. Here are three examples.
First, you will need to drink roughly a liter of a liquid-ordered by your medical professional. The purpose of the liquid is to distend the bowel so that it’s easier to observe during the imaging. At some point during the MRI, you’ll receive an injection containing a contrast fluid that makes the imaging clearer.
You’ll change out of your clothing and into some type of gown just prior to beginning the procedure. Along with your attire, any accessories need to be removed. That includes things like watches and other kind of jewelry. If you use hairpins, bows, or similar items in your hair, they need to be removed as well.
Last, it’s best to refrain from using any type of deodorant, perfumes or colognes, or powders in the area of the armpits and across the breasts. The ingredients can interfere with the imaging process, especially if they utilize any type of metal in the product.
There may be other things that you’re asked to do or refrain from doing prior to the Orlando diagnostic MRI. Follow those instructions to the letter and everything should be fine.
