  • Decorative Shapes: These pastas are a lot of fun to choose as they come in all shapes and sizes. Traditionally they were fashioned after specific items but the shapes also serve a purpose allowing the sauces used to connect and remain on the pasta more effectively. A very common shape is conchiglie also known as shell pasta which comes in a small size served with sauces or a larger size that can be stuffed.
