If you are in college, there comes a time when you need to make the decision of whether or not to move out of the dorms. There are plenty of reasons to stay living in the dorms. The most important being the newfound independence and fun you start to experience. There does come a time when you need to decide to move into FSU student housing. The following are three reasons you should move out of the dorms and into an off-campus apartment.

  1. Your Studies – While you get more independence when you live in the dorms, you don’t get much in the way of privacy. This is something that will be available to you when you just have one or two roommates in an apartment. FSU student housing is a great way to improve your grades next semester.
  2. Cost – Convention wisdom tells you that it’s cheaper to live in the dorms than in an apartment. This actually isn’t true. People don’t look at their tuition bills closely enough. Living in an apartment is also much cheaper when you consider the fact that you aren’t forced to purchase a meal plan.
  3. Growth – College is about growth and developing into the adult you want to be. You can’t do this if you aren’t attempting to move forward in your life. Part of this is moving out into your own place.
