With all of the new technology being invented each year, driving has never been easier or more convenient. Being able to unlock your car door with the simple push of a button can save you time and even your life in a dangerous situation. If you are having trouble unlocking your Benz, here is what you should know about Mercedes key programming.
Check Your Battery
If you find that you are having to press the button on your key fob multiple times in order for it to work, the issue might be with your battery. You should try putting a new battery inside your key fob, and see if that fixes the problem. If you replace the battery and are still unable to get it to work, then your key fob might be broken or need to be reprogrammed.
Troubleshoot Your Key Fob
If your key fob still doesn’t unlock the door, even with a new battery, check to see if the light on the fob comes on. While the absence of one means the fob is broken, a red light indicates that it is working, therefore it might just need to be reprogrammed.
Mercedes key programming is pretty simple and can be done in a matter of minutes. Simply insert and quickly remove your key from your car’s ignition, wait about 10 seconds and then press and hold the lock button. Keep pressing lock while simultaneously pressing the unlock button 5 times; release both buttons then press the trunk button once.
